UpHex

Plugin that connects agents to UpHex, the ad-operations platform for marketing agencies, through UpHex's official remote Model Context Protocol server.

Search clients and campaigns, pull Meta and Google Ads performance, review leads and EZ Forms, inspect and validate campaign templates, check ad-account and connection health, and prepare, confirm, and track campaign launches, all from chat.

Install

  1. Open Settings → Plugins (Grok Bot or Cursor).
  2. Search for UpHex.
  3. Click Install, then complete the UpHex sign-in prompt.

Or run /add-plugin uphex in chat.

Auth is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and Dynamic Client Registration. The client registers itself and prompts for UpHex sign-in when the plugin connects. There is no client ID or API key to configure. Each user signs in with their own UpHex agency login, and every call is scoped to that user's agency.

Before you connect

You need an UpHex agency account with an active subscription (sign up). MCP requests from inactive or unpaid agencies are rejected with 403 Subscription inactive.

The consent screen asks for one or both scopes:

Scope Grants
mcp:read Metrics, lists, details, search, and status tools
mcp:write Launching campaigns, creating and updating templates, sending outreach, and AI image generation

Grant only mcp:read for a read-only install.

Notes

  • Launches affect real ad accounts and spend. Always use campaign_launch_prepare first, review the returned plan with the user, and call campaign_launch with only the returned plan_id after explicit confirmation. Use launch_mode: "draft" when the user wants a non-delivering campaign.
  • If a launch confirmation times out, check campaign_launch_status with the same plan_id before retrying. Never prepare a new plan just because the confirm response was lost.
  • Tool annotations (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint) are published on every tool. Keep the host's tool-approval prompts on for write tools.
