Compiles a PyO3/maturin extension wrapping the cel Rust interpreter crate. Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors upstream's ci.yml (test and linux jobs).

Differs from upstream

  • cibuildwheel instead of maturin-action --find-interpreter - one build-and-test job per interpreter
  • Rust toolchain installed in-container - upstream ships no [tool.cibuildwheel]

Matrix: adds cp315/cp315t, which upstream ships; drops cp311 (RISE floor) and pp311 (no PyPy riscv64).

Testing

  • upstream's pytest suite, including the docs/ code-block tests, run against the installed wheel
  • two TestFunctionPerformance wall-clock budget tests deselected - runner is ~2x over the 1.5 ms / 20 ms limits
  • cargo test not run separately

License: OK

Patches

  • 0001-cli-import-Annotated-from-typing.patch - Backport 212cf00. import cel fails without typing_extensions. Reproduces on x86.

Built on cp312; 472 passed, 1 skipped, 6 xfailed.

… clean install

cel/cli.py imports Annotated from typing_extensions, which 0.8.0 never
declares and typer >= 0.21.2 no longer pulls in, so the wheel test's
import fails on every interpreter. Backport upstream 212cf00 (in 0.10.0).
TestFunctionPerformance::test_complex_function_call_performance asserts
< 1.5 ms per call and test_function_call_with_large_data < 20 ms; on the
riscv64 runner every interpreter lands at 2.9-3.2 ms and 20-31 ms while
the evaluated results inside both tests are correct.
