- I'm the CEO of Ontola.io, a software development firm from the Netherlands that aims to give people more control over their data. We're working on:
- Atomic Data specification. The main implementation is AtomicServer: an open source, powerful, fast, lightweight all-in-one workspace and database. Check it out at atomic.place! I'm also maintaining a bunch of libraries and tools for Atomic: js / npm library, React, Svelte, a CLI and a Rust crate.
- SearchLauncher, android launcher with a keyboard and browser built-in.
- GameNight, a game launcher for smooth couch multiplayer. Also a bunch of games like SpaceRacer, FrogFighter, BallKickers and Growing Guns.
- OpenBesluitvorming.nl (Dutch), a search engine for governmental meeting documents. Over 220 Dutch governments (municipalities, provinces) have joined so far.
- I founded PauseAI and actively lobby for halting frontier AI development. I like using AI, and I build AI tools, but I also think we should do everything we can to prevent AI from becoming superintelligent in the near future. It is too dangerous.
- Interoperability, standardizing data exchange, and tech that gives people more data ownership (like Atomic Data and Solid)
